ওয়েব ডেস্ক : দোলপূর্ণিমার দিনে নয়, দোলপূর্ণিমার পরদিন অর্থাৎ প্রতিপদে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় দোল উৎসব। এদিন দোল উৎসবে মেতে ওঠেন উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা জেলার গাইঘাটার ইছাপুর-সহ আশেপাশের বেশ কয়েকটি গ্রামের মানুষ। আবিরের রঙে রঙিন হয়ে ওঠেন তাঁরা। কারণ, ইছাপুরে রয়েছে সুপ্রাচীন এক গোবিন্দ মন্দির। কয়েকশো বছর ধরে চলে আসা প্রথা অনুযায়ী ওই মন্দিরে পূর্ণিমার পরদিন সকালে গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের পুজো হয় এবং এরপর পুরোহিত গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের পায়ে আবির দেন। আর তারপর শুরু হয় রঙ খেলা। ইছাপুর এলাকা এবং সংলগ্ন কয়েকটি গ্রামের মানুষ একে একে গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের পায়ে আবির দেওয়ার পাশাপাশি একে অপরকে আবির মাখাতে শুরু করেন। রঙিন হয়ে ওঠেন তাঁরা।
প্রসঙ্গত, ১৬৫১ সালে ইছাপুরে একটি গোবিন্দ মন্দির প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন রঘুনাথ চক্রবর্তী 
চৌধুরী। সেই টেরাকোটার নবরত্ন মন্দির এখন ভগ্নপ্রায়। পরবর্তীতে কাছেই নতুন করে মন্দির নির্মাণ করে গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরকে সেখানে নিয়ে যায় রঘুনাথ চক্রবর্তী চৌধুরীর উত্তরাধিকারীরা। জানা যায়, গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের মূর্তিটি কষ্টিপাথরের। গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের মন্দির হওয়ার পর থেকেই এখানে পূর্ণিমার পর দিন প্রতিপদের দোল উৎসব হয়। গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের পায়ে আবির দিয়ে তারপর এখানকার মানুষ বসন্ত উৎসব শুরু করেন। ছোটরাও এই দিন রঙ পিচকিরি নিয়ে দোল খেলায় মেতে ওঠে। কর্মসূত্রে বা অন্য কারণে যারা বাইরে থাকেন, তাঁরাও গ্রামের এই দোল উৎসবের দিনগুলিতে ঘরে ফেরেন। আর এই উৎসবে সামিল হন। প্রতি বছর দোল পূর্ণিমা ছেড়ে যাওয়ার পরে মন্দিরের সামনে গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের অধিবাস শুরু হয়। এরপর রাজবেশ পরিয়ে ঠাকুরকে ঘুম পাড়ানো হয়। ভোরবেলায় আনা হয় দোলমঞ্চে। সেখানে পুজোর পরে পুরোহিত প্রথমে তিনবার ঠাকুরের পায়ে আবির দেন। তারপরেই শুরু হয় প্রতিপদের দোল উৎসব। প্রতিপদের দোল উৎসবকে কেন্দ্র করে ৭ দিনের মেলা বসে। যাত্রাপালা-সহ নানা সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজনও করা হয়। দোলের পরদিন অর্থাৎ প্রতিপদে হাজার হাজার মানুষ হাতে আবির নিয়ে লাইনে দাঁড়ান। ঠাকুরের পায়ে আবির দেন তাঁরা। সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত এই পর্ব চলে। ঠাকুরের পায়ে আবির দেওয়ার পরে নিজেদের মধ্যেদোল খেলা শুরু করেন সকলে। সন্ধ্যায় ঠাকুরকে ডাবের জলে স্নান করানো হয়। তারপরে পোশাক পরিয়ে পান্তা ভাত, সব্জি দিয়ে খাওয়ানো হয়। খাওয়া-দাওয়া শেষ হলে মন্দিরে ঘুম পাড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয় গোবিন্দকে।
পর্যটকদের কাছে এবং ইতিহাস
অনুসন্ধিৎসু মানুষের কাছে এখানকার আকর্ষণই সপ্তদশ শতাব্দীর ভগ্নপ্রায় এই টেরাকোটার গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের নবরত্ন মন্দির। পাশের নতুন মন্দিরে গোবিন্দ ঠাকুরের নিত্যপুজো হলেও সুপ্রাচীন মন্দিরটির আকর্ষণ এতটুকু কমেনি। ভিন্ন স্বাদের দোল উৎসব বা বসন্ত উৎসব প্রত্যক্ষ করতে তাই ঘুরে আসুন গাইঘাটার ইছাপুর থেকে। কলকাতা থেকে গাইঘাটার সড়কপথে দূরত্ব প্রায় ৬২ কিলোমিটার। দমদম এয়ারপোর্ট ১নং থেকে যশোর রোড বা ৩৪ নং জাতীয় সড়ক ধরে সোজা চলে আসুন গাইঘাটা থানা মোড়ে। সেখান থেকে কিছুটা গেলেই ইছাপুর। রেলপথে শিয়ালদহ থেকে বনগাঁ লোকাল বা গোবরডাঙ্গা লোকাল ধরে গোবরডাঙ্গা স্টেশনে নামুন। সেখান থেকে টোটোতে মিনিট কুড়ির পথ ইছাপুর। আগে থেকে যোগাযোগ করলে ইছাপুর গোবিন্দ মন্দির সংলগ্ন এলাকায় থাকা-খাওয়ার ব্যবস্থা হয়ে যাবে। যোগাযোগ করতে হবে প্রতীপ দত্তের সঙ্গে ৯৭৩৫৪৭১৭৮০ নাম্বারে। আর এই মন্দির দর্শনের পাশাপাশি দেখে নিতে পারেন গাইঘাটার জলেশ্বর শিবমন্দির ও গাইঘাটা স্থানীয় পাড়া চণ্ডীগড় গ্রামে কল্পেশ্বর শিবমন্দির।
Web Desk: Dol festival is held not on the day of Dolpurnima, but on the day after Dolpurnima i.e. Pratipad. On this day, the people of several nearby villages, including Gaighatar Ichapur of North 24 Parganas district, took part in the Dol festival. They became colorful in the color of Abir. Because there is an ancient Govinda temple in Ichapur. According to the tradition that has been going on for hundreds of years, Govinda Tagore is worshiped in the morning after Purnima in that temple and then the priest offers abir at Govinda Tagore’s feet. And then the color game begins. The people of Ichapur area and a few adjoining villages started offering Abir at Gobind Tagore’s feet one by one as well as rubbing each other with Abir. They became colorful.
Incidentally, in 1651 Raghunath Chakraborty Chowdhury established a Govinda Temple in Ichapur. That terracotta Navaratna temple is now crumbling. Later, the heirs of Raghunath Chakraborty Chowdhury took Gobind Tagore there by constructing a new temple nearby. It is known that the statue of Govinda Tagore is made of hard stone. Ever since Govinda Tagore’s temple was built, Pratipad’s Dol festival is held here every day after Purnima. People here start the spring festival by abira at the feet of Govinda Tagore. On this day, children also enjoy swinging with colored pencils. Those who stay away due to work or other reasons also return home during these village festival days. And join this festival. Every year Govinda Tagore’s abode begins in front of the temple after Dol Purnima leaves. After that, Tagore was put to sleep wearing royal robes. It was brought to the swing at dawn. After the puja there, the priest first offered abeer at Tagore’s feet three times. After that, Pratipad’s swing festival begins. A 7-day fair is held around Pratipad Dol Utsav.
Various cultural programs are also organized including Yatrapala. On the day after Dole, thousands of people stood in line with Abir in their hands. They bowed to Tagore’s feet. This episode continues till evening. Everyone started swinging among themselves after giving Abir to Tagore’s feet. In the evening, Tagore was bathed in Dub water. Then clothed and fed with panta rice, vegetables. After eating and drinking, Govinda was put to sleep in the temple.
The attraction for tourists and history buffs is the crumbling 17th century terracotta Navaratna temple of Govinda Tagore. Although the daily worship of Govinda Tagore is held in the new temple next door, the attraction of the ancient temple has not diminished so much. To witness Dol Utsav or Basant Utsav with a different flavor, visit Ichapur in Gaighata. Distance from Calcutta to Gaighata by road is about 62 km. From Dum Dum Airport No. 1, take Jessore Road or National Highway No. 34 and go straight to Gaighata Thana Junction. Ichapur is a short distance away from there. By rail from Sealdah take Bangaon local or Gobardanga local and alight at Gobardanga station. From there it is 20 minutes to Toto to Ichapur.
