মৌটুসী দুর্গা টুনটুনি মধু চুস্কি। আকারে খুব ছোট তিন থেকে পাঁচ ইঞ্চি পুরুষ পাখি গুলো গারো নীলচে বেগুনি রংয়ের এর মধ্যে হলুদ কমলা রঙের ছোট ছোট পালক থাকে। 
আর স্ত্রী পাখিগুলো হলুদ বাদামি রঙের এর মধ্যে ধূসর কালচে পালক দিয়ে এদের শরীর ঢাকা। এদের ঠোঁট সরু সুচালো এদের মধু সংগ্রহের সুবিধার জন্যে। এরা সাধারণত ফুলের মধু ও পরাগ খেয়ে বেঁচে থাকে। তাই এদেরকে দেখা যায় ফুলের উপরে মধু সংগ্রহ করতে। এরা বাসা করে মাকড়সার জাল ছোট ছোট গাছের আঁশ এবং আশেপাশে ফেলে দেওয়া কাগজ ও পাতা দিয়ে ছোট্ট আকারের । একবারে আড়াল জায়গায় , আপনি খুব ভালো করে লক্ষ্য না করলে এদের এদের বাসা আপনার চোখেই পড়বে না। সাধারণত ভারতবর্ষে এরা এপ্রিল মে মাসের দিকে এদের ডিম পাড়ে এবং ১৫ থেকে ১৭ দিনের মধ্যে এদের ডিম ফুটে বাচ্চা বার হয়, এরপর সবটা দুয়েকের মধ্যেই বাসা থেকে বাচ্চা ডানা মেলে বাইরে বেরিয়ে আসে।

They make their nests in spider webs made of small tree fibers and small pieces of paper and leaves thrown around. Once
in a hidden place, you will not see their nest unless you look very carefully. Usually in India, they lay their eggs around April-May and hatch within 15 to 17 days, after which the young emerge from the nest within a couple of days.
