দিলীপ রায় : অশোকনগরের ইতিহাসকে ঘিরে মিউজিয়াম তৈরি ও শ্রীকৃষ্ণপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত এলাকার আশুদি বিলের সংস্কার করে ইকো-ট্যুরিজম কেন্দ্র গড়ে তোলার উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন স্থানীয় বিধায়ক তথা উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা জেলা পরিষদের সভাধিপতি নারায়ণ গোস্বামী। রবিবার নিজের বিধানসভা কেন্দ্র অশোকনগরে এক সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে এ কথাই জানান তিনি। তিনি জানান, পর্যটক টানার লক্ষ্যে আশুদি বিলে যে ইকো-ট্যুরিজম কেন্দ্র গড়ার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে, তাতে ২ কোটি অর্থ বরাদ্দ অনুমোদন করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে জানান, দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধ ও বাংলাদেশ মুক্তিযুদ্ধের স্মৃতিবিজড়িত ঘটনাবলীর ওপর অশোকনগর নিউমার্কেটে একটি মিউজিয়াম তৈরির পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে। এইজন্য তথ্য সংগ্রহ ও প্রস্তাবিত মিউজিয়ামের খসড়া তৈরির জন্য কাজ শুরু করেছে একটি বেসরকারি সংস্থা।
প্রসঙ্গত, পর্যটন শিল্প বিকাশে যথেষ্ট সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা জেলার অশোকনগরের। কিন্তু এতকাল তা নিয়ে কেউ ভাবেননি। অশোকনগরের বিধায়ক নারায়ণ গোস্বামী এনিয়ে উদ্যোগী হয়েছেন। যেদিকে লক্ষ্য রেখে অশোকনগর-কল্যাণগড় পুরসভা এলাকার সৌন্দর্যায়নে তৎপর হয়েছেন তিনি। উল্লেখ্য, দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের পরিত্যক্ত ব্রিটিশ বিমানঘাঁটি ছিল অশোকনগর। পরবর্তীকালে প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বিধানচন্দ্র রায়ের উদ্যোগে এখানেই গড়ে ওঠে উদ্বাস্তু উপনগরী অশোকনগর-কল্যাণগড়। যদিও জঙ্গলে ঢাকা যুদ্ধবিমান রাখার কংক্রিটের ছাউনি দেওয়া বিরাট বিরাট হ্যাঙারগুলো এখন দখল হয়ে গেছে। কোথাও গরুর খাটাল, তো কোথাও হয়েছে কমিউনিটি সেন্টার। আর রানওয়ের ওপর তৈরি হয়েছে ঢালাই রাস্তা। তবুও ইতিহাসের সাক্ষী হিসেবে বেশকিছু নিদর্শন এখনও রয়ে গেছে। ফলে নাগরিকদের অনেকেই মনে করেন, বাম সরকারের আমলে তৈরি দুটি পার্ক সংহতি পার্ক ও মিলেনিয়াম সায়েন্স পার্কের যথাযথ রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ এবং দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধ আর বাংলাদেশ মুক্তিযুদ্ধের নানান ঘটনার সাক্ষী এ অঞ্চলের ইতিহাসকে তুলে ধরা গেলে তা পর্যটকদের আকর্ষণ বাড়াবে। গোলবাজারকেও দর্শনীয় স্থান হিসেবে তুলে ধরা যায় বলেও মনে করেন তাঁরা। কারণ, সারা দেশে গোলবাজার গুটিকয়েক আছে। এরমধ্যে নামে গোলবাজার হলেও অশোকনগর গোলবাজারের মতো গোলাকার বাজার দেশে বিরল বললে ভুল হবে না।
ইতিমধ্যেই উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা জেলার বেশকিছু দর্শনীয় স্থানকে ট্যুরিজম সার্কিট বা পর্যটন অঞ্চল হিসেবে ঘোষণা করেছে রাজ্য সরকার। এরমধ্যে অশোকনগরের কাছাকাছি দেগঙ্গার চন্দ্রকেতুগড় আর্কিওলজিক্যাল সাইট, চন্দ্রকেতুগড় মিউজিয়াম, চাকলা লোকনাথ মন্দির, কচুয়া লোকনাথ মন্দির, দত্তপুকুরের পটারি মার্কেট এবং গোবরডাঙ্গার কঙ্কনা বাঁওর, বিদ্যাসাগরের বিধবা বিবাহ প্রচলনের কেন্দ্রবিন্দু চণ্ডীতলা, জমিদারবাড়ি, বেড়ি পাঁচপোতা,পাঁচপোতা বাঁওর, বাংলাদেশ সীমান্ত, প্রাচীন শিবমন্দিরও রয়েছে। তেমনই অশোকনগরের দুটি পার্ক, বিধায়ক প্রস্তাবিত মিউজিয়াম, আশুদি বিল ঘিরে ইকো-ট্যুরিজম সেন্টার এবং প্রাচীন জনপদ রাজীবপুরকে ঘিরে একটি ট্যুরিজম সার্কিট বা পর্যটন অঞ্চল গড়ে তোলার সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে বলে মনে করেন স্থানীয় অনেকেই। তাঁদের মতে, এই পর্যটন এলাকা গড়ে তুলতে পারলে স্থানীয় অর্থনীতির বিকাশ ঘটবে। কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি হবে।

Incidentally, Ashoknagar in North 24 Parganas district has a lot of potential to develop the tourism industry. But no one thought about it for a long time. Ashoknagar MLA Narayan Goswami has taken initiative. Aiming at that, he has been active in the beautification of the Ashoknagar-Kalyanagarh municipality area. It should be noted that Ashoknagar was an abandoned British air base during World War II. Later, the refugee suburb of Ashoknagar-Kalyanagarh was built here on the initiative of former Chief Minister Bidhan Chandra Roy. However, the huge concrete canopied hangars that housed the fighter jets in the jungle are now occupied. Some places are cowsheds, some have become community centers. And the runway has been built on the cast road. However, several monuments still remain as witnesses of history. As a result, many of the citizens think that proper maintenance of the two parks, Solidarity Park and Millennium Science Park, created during the left government period, and the history of the region witnessing the events of World War II and Bangladesh Liberation War, will increase the attraction of tourists. They also think that Golbazar can also be highlighted as a sightseeing place. Because, there are few golbazars all over the country. Although the name is Golbazar, it will not be wrong to say that a round market like Ashoknagar Golbazar is rare in the country.
The state government has already declared several places of interest in North 24 Parganas district as tourism circuits. Among these are Chandraketugarh Archaeological Site of Deganga near Ashokanagar, Chandraketugarh Museum, Chakla Loknath Temple, Kachua Loknath Temple, Pottery Market of Dattapukur and Kankana Banor of Gobardanga, Chanditala center of Vidyasagar widow marriage tradition, Zamindarbari, Beri Panchpota, Panchpota Banor, Bangladesh border, ancient Shiva temple. He is there. Similarly, there is a possibility of developing a tourism circuit or tourism zone around Ashoknagar’s two parks, MLA’s proposed museum, Ashudi Bill’s eco-tourism center and the ancient township of Rajivpur. According to them, if this tourist area can be developed, the local economy will develop. Employment opportunities will be created.
