ওয়েব ডেস্ক : ঘরে নয়, কোজাগরী পূর্ণিমায় গ্রামের ঠাকুরদালানে কয়েক প্রজন্ম ধরে লক্ষ্মীর আরাধনা করেন পারুইপাড়া গ্রামের মানুষ। গৃহস্থের কল্যাণ কামনায় নয়, জেলে সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ নিজেদের সম্প্রদায়ের শ্রীবৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে সবাই মিলে এদিন লক্ষ্মীপুজোয় মেতে ওঠেন। হাবরা ১ নম্বর ব্লকের রুদ্রপুরের বাঘডাঙ্গা পাড়ুইপাড়ায় সর্বজনীন এই লক্ষ্মীপুজো ঘিরে মেলাও বসে। পালাগানের আসর হয়। প্রায় ৭ দিন ধরে মেলা চলে। এবছরও তার ব্যতিক্রম ঘটেনি। এবারও লক্ষ্মীর আরাধনায় সেজে উঠেছে গোটা গ্রাম। এই পুজো উপলক্ষে গ্রামের প্রতিটি পরিবারের আত্মীয়স্বজনও আসতে শুরু করেছেন। গ্রামের দুটি ঠাকুরদালানে একসঙ্গে পুজোর প্রস্তুতি চলছে। উল্লেখ্য, কোজাগরী পূর্ণিমার রাতে একটি ঠাকুরদালানে কেবলমাত্র লক্ষ্মীপুজো ও অন্যটিতে লক্ষ্মী-নারায়ণ পুজো হয়। আশেপাশের গ্রাম থেকে হিন্দু-মুসলিম উভয় সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ পারুইদের এই উৎসবে যোগ দেন। জানা গিয়েছে, হাবরা শহর গড়ে ওঠার বহু আগেই রুদ্রপুরের কাছে পদ্মার চরে বসতি গড়ে তোলেন পেশায় মূলত মৎস্যজীবী পারুই সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ। বাঘডাঙ্গা ঝিলের ওপারে তাদের গ্রামের নাম হয় পারুইপাড়া। আর্থিক দিক থেকে পিছিয়ে থাকলেও পারুইরা ব্যক্তির পরিবারের শ্রীবৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে নয়, পারুই সম্প্রদায়ের উন্নতির লক্ষ্যে কয়েক প্রজন্ম ধরে লক্ষ্মীর আরাধনা করছেন। সম্প্রদায়ের তেমন উন্নতি না হলেও কোজাগরীতে মেতে উঠছেন তাঁরা। ভিন্ন ধারার এই পুজো দেখতে হলে হাবরা থেকে অটো বা টোটো-ভ্যানে রুদ্রপুর যেতে হবে। সেখান থেকে হেটে বা টোটোতে বাঘডাঙ্গা পারুইপাড়া গ্রামে গেলেই গ্রামীণ সর্বজনীন লক্ষ্মীপুজো ও মেলা দেখতে পারবেন।

This time also the whole village is decorated in worship of Lakshmi. Relatives of every family in the village have also started coming on the occasion of this puja. Puja preparations are going on together in two Thakurdalans of the village. It should be noted that only Lakshmi Puja and Lakshmi-Narayan Puja are performed in one Thakurdalan on the night of Kojagri Purnima. People of both Hindu and Muslim communities from the surrounding villages participate in this festival of Parui. It is known that long before the construction of Habra city, the people of Parui community, mainly fishermen by profession, built a settlement at Padma Char near Rudrapur. On the other side of Baghdanga lake, their village was called Paruipara. Although financially backward, the Paruis have been worshiping Lakshmi for generations, not for the prosperity of the individual’s family, but for the betterment of the Parui community. Although the community has not progressed much, they are thriving in Kojagari. If you want to see this puja of a different style, you have to go to Rudrapur by auto or toto-van from Habra. From there you can walk or take a Toto to Baghdanga Paruipara village to witness the rural public Lakshmi Puja and fair.
