ওয়েব ডেস্ক : স্থানীয় শিল্পকলা ও সংস্কৃতির প্রচার এবং যুবকদের জন্য কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি করতে কাংড়ায় একটি পর্যটন গ্রাম প্রতিষ্ঠা করবে হিমাচল প্রদেশ সরকার। গত মঙ্গলবার এক সরকারি বিবৃতিতে একথা জানানো হয়েছে। হিমাচল প্রদেশের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী সুখবিন্দর সিং সুখু ওই বিবৃতিতে জানিয়েছেন, স্থানীয় যুবকদের পর্যটনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত করে স্থায়ী কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি করা সম্ভব। এর ফলে কেবলমাত্র পর্যটনের উন্নয়নই হবে তা নয়, পাশাপাশি রাজ্যের রাজস্বও বাড়াবে। স্থানীয় শিল্প, সংস্কৃতি, হস্তশিল্প, সঙ্গীত এবং অন্যান্য জিনিসগুলি প্রদর্শনের জন্য স্থানীয় যুবকদের ‘পর্যটন গ্রামে’ কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ দেওয়া হবে বলেও ওই বিবৃতিতে জানানো হয়েছে।
বিবৃতিতে আরও বলা হয়েছে, বানখণ্ডিতে ৩০০ কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে একটি চিড়িয়াখানা তৈরি করা হচ্ছে এবং ‘পর্যটন গ্রাম’ প্রতিষ্ঠার পাশাপাশি কাংড়ায় আন্তর্জাতিক মানের একটি গল্ফ কোর্সও তৈরি করা হবে। এছাড়াও ইলেকট্রিক বাস, ওয়াটার স্পোর্টস, থিম পার্ক, হাই-এন্ড ফুড কোর্ট, হেরিটেজ সাইটগুলির সৌন্দর্যায়ন এবং ইকো-ট্যুরিজমের মতো আধুনিক সুযোগ-সুবিধাগুলির ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। পাশাপাশি সিমলায় এশিয়ার বৃহত্তম প্রাকৃতিক আইস স্কেটিং রিঙ্ককে আপগ্রেড করা হবে এবং মানালির আইস অ্যান্ড রোলার স্কেটিং রিঙ্ক-এর উন্নয়ন ঘটানো হবে।
উল্লেখ্য, কাংড়ার ইতিহাস সাড়ে ৩ হাজারেরও বেশি প্রাচীন।
Web Desk : Himachal Pradesh government to establish a tourism village in Kangra to promote local arts and culture and create employment opportunities for youth. This was informed in a government statement last Tuesday. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said in the statement that it is possible to create permanent employment opportunities by linking local youth with tourism. This will not only boost tourism but also increase the revenue of the state. The statement also said that local youth would be given employment opportunities in ‘tourism villages’ to showcase local art, culture, handicrafts, music and other things.
The statement further said that a zoo is being built at Bankhandi at a cost of Rs 300 crore and besides establishing a ‘Tourist Village’, an international standard golf course will also be built at Kangra. Modern amenities like electric buses, water sports, theme parks, high-end food courts, beautification of heritage sites and eco-tourism will also be provided. Besides, Asia’s largest natural ice skating rink in Shimla will be upgraded and the Ice and Roller Skating Rink in Manali will be developed.
Note that the history of Kangra is more than 3500 years old.
